Instructions

You can open these game instructions from the menu in the bottom-right corner. They’ll always open to the relevant section for the screen you’re in.

You can change the speed of play in the settings screen, which is accessed from the same menu.

Hit the X button to close this screen and start playing.

Start Screen

You’ll begin on the start screen whenever you open the game. Your first task is to select the country you want to manage.

Before you select a squad for each tournament, the start screen will show you information about the host country. Make a mental note for when you’re picking your squad. Once the squad’s selected, you’ll find out which countries you’ll be competing against, and you can hit play to begin the tournament.

You can navigate back to the start screen at any time to begin a new tournament, or a new career – maybe with a different country.

Squad Selection

You need to select a squad that matches the requirements displayed at the top of the screen. You can scroll through the whole list of available players, or use the filter and sort to help you find the best players for the host country conditions. Tap a player to select them, and tap again to deselect them. The squad requirements will turn green as you fulfil them. Long-pressing a player will open their detailed profile – worth a look until you get to know them all.

You can go back to the start screen to check the host country description any time before you finalise your squad.

Player View

This screen displays a detailed profile for the selected player. You can see the role and playing style of each player, and there are tabs to show tournament and career stats. Tournament stats are updated as each tournament progresses, but career stats do not change. This is so you can make consistent selections from one tournament to the next as you learn about the players available to you.

Tournament Screen

This screen shows the tournament group standings, along with completed and remaining fixtures. You can swipe between the tabs for each tournament group and the knockout stages.

Tap on any of countries in the group tables to go to their squad view, or any of the completed matches to view the scorecards.

When a tournament ends, you’ll be taken to the tournament review screen and then back to this tournament screen. You’ll be able to check out the scorecards, all the stats and the tournament review until you press the play button to start a new tournament.

Squad View

Here, you’ll get an overview of each country’s squad and performance for the current tournament. Check out the team stats, or long-press any player in the squad list to view their detailed profile.

Match Round

This screen shows the current round of matches. Any fixtures that don’t involve your team will be played out automatically in full. Tapping on any completed match in the list will take you to the scorecard. When it’s time for your match, tap the play button to go to the match overview screen.

Match Overview

This screen shows you the match conditions and state of your current match. Make sure to check the conditions before selecting your team, as they’ll affect the potential performances of your players.

You’ll come back to this screen after selecting your team, between innings and after the match. It will show you up-to-date match details each time. If you need to exit the game before completing a match, you’ll return here before continuing where you left off. You can also choose to navigate back here during an innings for a reminder of match conditions.

Team Selection

Select a team that matches the requirements displayed at the top of the screen. Do this by dragging players up and down in the list using the drag handles on the right, or by swiping players to move them to the bottom of the list. The top 11 players in the list will make up your team, and the remaining 4 players will be on the bench. The order of players in the list determines the batting order. Your batting order is not fixed. It can be amended at any time in your batting innings.

If you select more than one wicket keeper in the team, you’ll be presented with a second screen where you can choose which one keeps wicket in this match.

Over Screen

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You can change the speed of play in the settings screen, accessed via the menu button.

The over screen is where your matches are played, over by over and ball by ball. Each ball is played based on the selections and decisions you make as coach, as well as the match conditions.

You’ll be prompted to take decisions, such as selecting bowlers, amending the batting order and changing player attitudes, at the start of each over. You can also pause play to make changes at any time. When the game’s paused you can view the scorecard or change game settings.

Scoring rates can be higher in the first six and last four overs than in the rest of an innings.

Bowler Selection

This is where you choose which player will bowl the next over. Drag a player to the top of the list of eligible bowlers to select them as the next bowler. Ineligible bowlers are shown below eligible bowlers. You can tap any player to change their bowling attitude, and long-press them to view their detailed profile.

Bowling Changes

You can tap on any player to change their bowling attitude during an over. You can also long-press players to view detailed profiles.

Batting Changes

In this screen you can change the batting order and players’ batting attitudes. Use the drag handles to move any players that have not yet started their innings up and down in the batting order. Tap on any player to change their batting attitude. You can make these changes any time during your team’s batting innings, and they only take effect for the current match. Long-press a player to view their detailed profile.

Tournament Stats

Use this screen to get your stats fix and see the best performers in the current tournament. Select from a list of stats to view, and filter by country or check out the overall tournament leaders.
